Elena Ortuondo, new Director of Information Systems at SENER

SENER Ingeniería y Sistemas has appointed Elena Ortuondo as the new Director of the Information Systems Department. This department is responsible for coordinating all the IT and communication systems as well as all the corporate applications necessary for the smooth running of the company, which has over 2,600 employees and 13 offices located both in Spain and overseas.
Elena Ortuondo holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Deusto and has developed her professional career in SENER, holding various positions within the department which she will now be leading, including head of the IT Infrastructure Department for the Bilbao, Barcelona and Lisbon offices. Amongst the main challenges which she faces in her new career stage are providing technical support on a daily basis to a growing number of users from SENER, both in the Spanish offices and in those in Abu Dhabi, Algiers, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Mexico City, Okayama, San Francisco and Warsaw; integrating all the systems and ensuring communication between the different national and international offices; and adopting information technology advances that can bring value to the company.
